Laura & Matt: An English Wedding in Galena, IL
This wedding was charming! Laura and Matt were married at a beautiful church in Elizabeth, Illinois, followed by a reception at the lovely Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena. The details at this wedding were superb. So many wonderful touches; vintage Liberty of London ties, vintage tea cups, a postcard guest book, and many other wonderful details. There were TWO bands during the reception and both were fantastic. Plus, Matt is from England and many of the women from England wore hats or headpiece fascinators! I love that. 🙂 There was quite a bit of rain but luckily everyone was a great sport and it didn’t stop us from driving around Galena for portraits.
**At the bottom of this post is a list of many of their vendors.** Super huge thanks to my good friend Tamara from Poppy Photography who flew out here from British Columbia, Canada. You are the best, Tamara, and I loved having you along!
Look closely at these next two photos. Hahaha. Oops.Postcard guest book… awesome idea! And the escort card display was done by the bride’s mom. A family friend collected all the little items for the display; love it! The little packets were actually tea bags.Hannah, the bridesmaid above, has been in three of my weddings! So fun. 🙂
